    Resolutions
It's that time of year again, so I sat down and made of list of resolutions for 2007. Here is my list.

    1. I will spend more time playing soccer and basketball with my son.

    2. I will get my daughter to teach me how to play the clarinet.

    3. I will make snow angels and go sledding with the kids.

    4. I will take one whole day and spend it in the kids section at my local library, rereading all my favorite books from my childhood.

    5. I will spend Saturday mornings watching cartoons with my daughter.

    6. I will try not to fade out when my hubby talks about the weather (he's a meteorologist)

    7. I will look in the mirror and love myself just the way I am.

    8. I will sing in the shower.

    9. I will wear socks that don't match and spend less time worrying about keeping up with the laundry.

    10. I will smile at people who don't say thank you when I hold the door open for them.

    11. I will never say no to a brownie.

    12. I will allow myself to write badly on those days when my muse refuses to cooperate!

So what are you plans for 2007?

    Anniversary
Today is my wedding anniversary! I know, what was I thinking getting married December 29th. sheesh. It's such a crazy time of year. Right after Christmas, and before New Years. We usually don't do anything to celebrate because we're tired and broke after the Holiday's, but today I want to do something fun!!

Maybe we'll go visit and explore another town. I just wish it was warmer outside. I checked out the movie selection at our theatre and there is NOTHING I want to see. So do any of you have any great ideas for me?

    Happy Release day to me!!
    Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We had a fabulous day. The kids got us up early, and then after presents we had a big breakfast and lounged around. I played the Nintendo Wii with Alex. Good Lord, what a workout. I did the boxing and after three rounds I was in a lather. I figure if I do that everyday, I'll lose all the weight I packed on over the holidays.

So BIG news today is that Pleasure Prolonged is available to order YAYAYAY. http://www.cathrynfox.com/pleasure_prolonged.html

I'm so excited. The book is so gorgeous! I love the texture of the cover. If you see it on the shelves be sure to let me know, or take a picture and send it to me!

Today my sister is coming for a visit. Can you guess what we're having. Yup, turkey soup! I guess I better get cracking before she gets here. Have a great day everyone!

    Nintendo Power
I got my son a subscription to Nintendo Power magazine for Christmas. After filling in the information online, I gave my son's email address, after all, I don't want the updates etc coming to my account. So I knew they would send an email to his account confirming the subscription. Thinking I'm so brilliant, I go into his account and sure enough it was there. So I delete it and think nothing more of it.

Then the other night I hear, mom can you come here. He shows me this email from Nintendo, saying they are getting ready to send him his first magazine...groan...so I convince him it's just spam. He deletes the message and nothing else was said.

Today I went to get the mail and my son came with me. He NEVER gets the mail for me and today I hand him the keys...what was I thinking??? He pulls this white envelope out of the box, his eyes go wide and he's grinning like the devil himself. He's like, "I knew it!"

I grabbed the envelope and stuffed it into my coat, and tell him he has NO idea what he's talking about, the envelope was for his father. He says, "oh yeah, then why is it addressed to me?"

Good lord, it's hard to surprise them anymore!!

    Busy busy busy!!

My tree is up, my house is decorated, and I'm finished my Christmas shopping! YAY!! The family and I all went to the city overnight on the weekend and we all spent too much money for sure. So the countdown is on in my house.

Hubby has to go into work on Christmas night. :((
which means he has to sleep the day away. I'm sad, but at
least he'll be here in the morning for the kids to open gifts.
He was supposed to work Christmas eve too, through the night but was able to trade shifts with one of the single guys at work.

Here's a few pictures of the family decorating the tree. We did it the other night during a big snow storm. It was such a perfect night to do the tree. My daughter put on the Christmas music, my son made us hot chocolate, the fire was going in the background keeping us warm while the snow piled up outside. It was perfect!!

So are you ready for Christmas?

    Band Concert

This has been one busy week for me. I guess it's a good thing I've taken some time off over the holidays. Between Basketball, soccer, band, concerts, and shopping I've been going non stop. But I love it!!

I took some pictures of my daughter and her friends at her band concert. I am such a horrible photographer. I probably took 50 pictures and only a few turned out. Most were blurry. For the first 25 I forgot the flash...lol. My daughter is the photographer in the house. She does all the artsy stuff. She uses my camera all the time and takes the most gorgeous pictures. Over the summer she had some beautiful shots of the apple blossoms and butterflies. We printed them and framed them for her. Anyway, here are a couple of pictures that turned out.

    Winter Wonderland

I've been wanting snow for awhile now and on Monday we got a big snow storm. Everything is white and beautiful.

Last night I had to drive my son to soccer, half an hour away on a terrible highway. I didn't take the time to clean my wipers good enough and they were icy. There were points when the headlights from on coming traffic completely blinded me. I was terrified. My son kept saying look at the white line, but it was snowing and the white line was gone. I took our exit and told him I was turning around and going home. I figured soccer would be canceled in the crazy weather anyway. But since we were already there, we thought we'd check it out. It was still on.

I was so rattled, I decide to stay, hoping the roads would get cleared.
He practiced for an hour and a half and by the time we got out the roads had been plowed and were clear. Thank God!! So the drive home was good. But I already told him, we will NOT be going to soccer when it's snowing.

Does everyone else hate driving in the winter as much as I do? And how is the weather where you all are?

    INFERNO

Vivi Anna's gorgeous, leather-clad heroine, Kat is back in another wildly erotic adventure set in a future world where there passion has no rules - and no limits...

Kat needs to find a scientist rumored to have created an antidote to a deadly virus, but he's hiding out in the violent underground city of inferno. Her one-time lover Hades will take Kat where she needs to go, but only if she promises to be his, body and soul.

I cannot wait to read this. I loved Hell Kat. If you haven't read it, run don't walk to your nearest bookstore to pick it up!!
