    Sinderella!

This is a wonderful delicious story by one of my favorite authors, Jan Springer. Check it out....

    http://www.ellorascave.com/productpage.asp?ISBN=1-4199-0504-X

By day she's a dedicated gynecologist. By night Dr. Ella Cinder escapes reality by secretly performing in her own erotic adult version of Sinderella. When sexy colleague Dr. Roarke Stephenson shows up in the Sinderella audience on the same night her Prince Charming stands her up, Ella seizes the opportunity to make Roarke into her Prince Charming for one carnal night of hot blazing sex...in front of an audience. Dr. Roarke Stephenson is immediately captured by the lusciously curvy actress who hides behind a mask and is known only as Sinderella. For some insane reason she reminds him of his klutzy co-worker, Ella. But that's not possible, Ella would never have the nerve to do the wickedly delicious things Sinderella does to him...or would she?

    Summer cold
Oh, man, I am miserable. I starting getting sick on Thursday with body aches and a sore throat and I still can't seem to fight it. I'm not sleeping because I lay in bed and cough all night. Today it's hot and sticky outside so that makes me twice as miserable. My husband and kids are hiding because I'm a very, very bad sick. Even worse than a man. :)

We're going to put the air conditioner in today. The weather hasn't been nice enough to warrant it before today. Hopefully once the house cools off and I'll be less grumpy.

Hope everyone else is doing well.
    Hugs!

    Reviews:
"From the second these two meet, sparks begin to fly. The chemistry between Rick and Sam sizzled and the sweet vulnerability of these two characters gave them both added depth. This was a fantastic story and I have to salute Ms. Day for her genius in coming up with this storyline...her publisher had to be laughing with pure delight!" - Kerin, Euro Reviews

"Sam is a wonderful heroine that one can identify with easily. The villain of the piece adds moments of hilarity. This is largely due to the explanations the heroine gives about him. As for the hero, it is great fun to see how enchanted he is with the smart, bookish, real woman that is Sam. Ms Day's offering is a delightful satire. The premise of the story and the various items and names used regarding the treasure will have readers laughing with glee." Lil, Love Romances

    Winnie the Pooh!
Sometimes I swear there was a mix up at the hospital and I ended up with someone else's daughter!

My eleven year old daughter loves to sew, knit, crochet, scrapbook, draw, model with clay, and bake. All the things I hate. LOL. The other day my son wanted his name stitched on his basketball hoodie, who do you think he took it to? Not me. My daughter even fixes buttons and when I had a hole in my brand new sweater, she sewed it up for me.

For my daughter's party she wanted to bake and decorate her own cake. So I went and bought the pan and all the supplies and handed them to her. That's all I did. She did the rest. Check it out. She blows me away.

The Tale of the Funky chair

February of this year I finally bought myself a proper office chair. I had been sitting on this big old clunky squeaky thing for years. So my husband and I picked out this lovely chair from Staples. It was sooooo comfortable, it even had adjustable arms. I loved it. After about a month, and the weather started to get warmer, I noticed a strange smell in my office. I couldn't figure out what it was but it was horrible. I started lighting candles and opening the window. As it got more humid outside, the smell in my office got worse.

So one day I turned around and sniffed my chair. OMG it was the most horrendous thing I've ever smelled. It smelled like it had been sprayed by a skunk. I call my husband in and he nearly gagged. Now first, let me say, I shower every day. SO IT WASN'T ME!!

My husband asked if I was sitting in my chair after going to the gym and sweating...He was convinced it was ME stinking up my chair with my sweaty gym clothes!!!

Once I assured him it wasn't me, he told me to call Staples to complain. I didn't know what to do. I figured they'd just furrow their brows and assume I was a funky gal.

So my husband washed the chair and even used Febreeze...still stinky.

Yesterday I couldn't stand it anymore. I could barely go into my office. I called my husband in, he sniffed and said this is crazy. He picks up the phone and calls Staples. Well let me tell you that conversation was priceless. My daughter and I were practically rolling on the floor laughing, listening to him tell this man his wife's office chair stinks!

Anyway....we take the chair back to the store today. The first thing I did was go and smell the floor model. OMG IT SMELLED LIKE SKUNK!!!

I MADE the guy working there smell it. He wasn't going to but I was very persuasive...LOL
He couldn't believe it. He totally agreed the floor model also smelled like a skunk. He said perhaps it was what they used for padding...I said yeah, skunk!

Anyway, I ended up spending $150 more to get another chair. There was no way I was going to get the same one! So it will be delivered tomorrow.
Other customers must have thought I was nuts because I was smelling all the chairs.

Honesty, I can't get that smell out of my head.

    Monday...
Thanks goodness it's Monday. I know you are all shaking your heads at that one. I had such a crazy busy weekend that I need a day at work just to rest.

My son had a soccer tournament this weekend. One game Friday night, two games Saturday (We were over an hour away so it was too far to come home between games) and they moved on to finals which meant two more games on Sunday. They won Gold!! I'm so proud of them.
I can't imagine how they played yesterday in 100 degree temperatures. I had a hard time walking in the heat, I don't know how they ran those big fields.

School here finishes next week so my writing days/hours will have to be adjusted to summer hours, which means I'll get up at 7 and write to 11. The kids don't usually crawl out of bed until then anyway.

I'm working on a new story/proposal for Nocturne. I absolutely LOVE this story idea and I sure hope an editor does too because I'd love to see it in print.

Hope everyone has a great week.

    EC's New Erotic Line
    Exotika: Message from Raelene,

We are accepting submissions as of now. For existing EC authors, send them to your regular editor, just be sure to indicate that it is for the erotica line. Please spread the word outside, to any author loops you are on and to your writer friends, writer organization members, and so forth.

Outside submissions follow our standard procedure, which can be found on our EC website; the submission goes to Submissions@ellorascave.com and the subject line should note that it is erotica.

Guidelines:- Same length categories as EC (10K - 120K)- Any genre- Doesn't have to be a "romance" - that is, does not have to focus on the development of a romantic relationship, h/h don't have to be sexually faithful to each other, does not need the committed HEA ending.- Sexual content follows pretty much the same rules as EC. We may be willing to stretch a bit further than we go at EC - but hey, we already go almost to the limit with EC erotic romances.

Same taboo list - no pedophilia, incest, necrophilia, bodily functions, etc. We feel our market segment and our primarily female audience want quality erotica, not violence or really extreme kink. Definitely no porn.- Has to be well-written and with a well-developed plot and characterization!

    Trouble With Will

    Review for Trouble With Will
Author: Myla Jackson Date of Review: 06/11/06
    Reviewed by: bbromancelvr

"The main characters are fascinating, wise-cracking, and memorable. The secondary characters enhance the story rather than detract from it. Will's friend, Harry (Trouble With Harry) makes an appearance to help on the quest.
The wishes Kate makes don't always work out the way she plans, so there are many "laugh out loud" moments; like when Will takes a trip to Hell! I couldn't hold back the laughter!
Really steamy love scenes make this a standard Ellora's Cave title. Though the vocabulary is not true to a character from 1924, it is easy to overlook this to enjoy a light and fast read. Fun!"

    Spring

I love spring. It's my favorite time of year. I love the warm weather, the grass, the green trees, and the new growth on all our fruit trees. We have apple, peach, pear and plum trees on our property. Here's what I don't like. The damn birds!!

For the past two weeks a couple of birds have taken up residency in a tree outside my bedroom window. Now, I really don't have anything against birds, in fact I'm a bird watcher. We have quite a few birds of prey in our area and I love spotting them...

But these particular birds...well, not so crazy about them. Every morning at the crack of dawn, they begin chirping...OMG, it's loud and wakes me up at 5 am.

I'm about ready to haul out the saw and cut the tree down. Maybe if I put a bird house up at the back of the house and fill it with seed they will hang out back there.
Any suggestions from all you bird lovers out there?
