Alecia Monaco |
Hi everyone, I'd like to introduce the very talented, multi-published author Alecia Monaco. She'll be here all week answering questions. If you would like to ask her a few questions, please do. At the end of the week, I will pick a name from all those who have posted and send a little prize.
Hi Alecia and welcome. Can you tell us a bit about yourself? What inspired you to be a writer?
About me. Well, I'm 32 and live in Houston, Texas. I'm a lifelong bookworm, so becoming a writer is a natural extension of my love for the written word. I can't remember a time when I wasn't writing. Even before I could hold a pen, I dictated stories to other people. I think I always knew this was my calling, and I'm glad I found the right niche in the publishing world! Other than reading, I enjoy cooking, crafts, animals and am kid of an information/research junkie.
Can you tell us a bit about your latest release, Kiss of the Fairy?
Kiss Of The Fairy takes the reader into the world of Irish myth and magic, a land populated by fairies and fey, leprechauns and Celtic goddesses. When this world collides with the modern world though a romance between the Irish love fairy and a single guy from Boston, anything can happen!
Stayed tuned, I'll be chatting more with Alecia tomorrow. |

I love the cover of "Confessions of a Sugar Plum Fairy". Do you get to choose the cover art for your books or have a say in them? I hope you keep on writing poetry; loved the 2 peoms I read. Thanks.

Robyn, thanks for your question! I do have quite a bit of say in the cover art. Generally, I come up with a concept for how I want the cover to look. The artist comes up with a first version of it, and then we fine-tune it together. I've been lucky enough to work with some great cover artists, as you can see!
Thanks for the compliments about my poetry...I'm sending off some more soon!
