What Kind of Reader are YOU? |
1. When you find a new to you author and fall in love with their writing, do you go out and get your hands on all her back list, and read through them like a mad women. Or do you pace yourself and savor each book as you find it?
I usually go back and buy everything and savor
2. Have you ever burned yourself out on an author by reading their back list one after an other?
Yup.
3. Can you read anywhere, and grab a few min of reading here and there? Or do you need a block of time to be able to at least read one or two chapters or more?
I can tune everything out and read anywhere. I often read at the gym while on the exercise bike, music blaring, TVs blaring and hunky men moaning. Okay, so maybe I do find that last on a wee bit distracting..wink.
4. When a new book comes out that you have been anticipating, do you dive right in and finish it in record breaking time? Or do you find yourself savoring every and page making it last as long as possible?
I love to savour.
5. Have you ever done anything to get a book that would cause some people to raise there eyebrows? What was it?
Besides the time I flirted shamelessly with the man working at the bookstore, convincing him he should check the boxes out back for the book I was searching for, I’d have to say no.
Your turn! |

I glom, and I'm proud of it!

Oh yes. Did it this weekend actually. I'm sure I'll go back to this author - her last two books, which were the first two I read, were great. But the first two she wrote (the last two I read) burned me out quickly, probably because they weren't quite as good. Ok, one of them - the first one she had published - was actually quite bad. I've not finished the last few chapters, although I'm sure I will eventually.

I can read through anything - and do. I keep books all over the place too, and unless one has really sucked me in it doesn't bother me to be reading 4 or 5 books at the same time. But a really good book goes everywhere I go til it's done.

I have no self control :( It's gone in hours.

Besides eat raman noodles way to many meals in college to have more money for books - nope.

No, I usually try to read another authors book in between and then go back and read that authors books.

I read whenever I have a few minutes. I guess you can say that I carry that book with me where ever I go. I read during my breaks and lunch at work.
4. When a new book comes out that you have been anticipating, do you dive right in and finish it in record breaking time? Or do you find yourself savoring every and page making it last as long as possible? I savor the new book I am reading and it might take me a few days to read it.
5. Have you ever done anything to get a book that would cause some people to raise there eyebrows? What was it? Not unless you think I am crazy for reading while I am trying to eat. My husband thinks I read to much.
